Division of Health Education in the Public Health Service and
began assembling a team to engage the myriad issues intersecting at
the nexus of behavior, social factors, and disease and injury. Many
hold that it was at this time that Derryberry and his associates in
the Division of Health Education laid the foundation for our modern
efforts in health education policy, practice, and research.
